“Standards of Karen” was written and directed by Josh Lowman, and produced in collaboration with the Alaska Film Forum. The story follows a nurse (Karen), played by Jenn Hoadley, as she is forced to treat an accidental gun shot victim brought in by her neighbor Mandy (Shanette Harper). In order to avoid the authorities Karen calls in Dr. Smith (Mark Muro) as they try and save the life of Mandy’s boyfriend played by Sam Sease. However, things start to get complicated when there is another knock at the door.

“Six Dead Bodies Duct-Taped to a Merry-Go-Round” was produced in collaboration with Actor/Director Kevin T. Bennettand SprocketHeads DP Steven L. Rychetnik. The story was originally a stage play written by Lindsay Marianna Walker & Dawson L. Moore, and was adapted for screen by Kevin T. Bennett & D.K. Johnston.
The short is a dark comedy starring Kevin T. Bennett and Cheyenne Buchanan. Toby (Buchanan), a stranded solider, hitches a ride with a very unusual truck driver named Winston (Bennett). Toby doesn’t realize the strange cargo Winston is hauling, and what this ride may cost him.
Shot entirely on-location in Anchorage and Palmer, Alaska.
